Your Information

Privacy Notice

We take the care of your personal information as seriously as the care of your soul.

Who we are

Christ Embassy Milnerton (“the church”, “we”) is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website and our ministry systems, as described in the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You can reach the church office, which handles privacy questions, at info@cemilnerton.co.za or on WhatsApp.

What we collect, and why

Who sees it

Only church leaders and team members who need it for their ministry role. We use CHMeetings to manage church records, and our web host and email provider process information on our behalf. We report attendance and first-time visitor details to the Christ Embassy zonal office as part of the wider church's pastoral care. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing by others.

Third-party content

Our pages use fonts and icons that we host ourselves. Videos (YouTube) and maps (Google Maps) only load if you tap them; when they do, the provider may receive your address and set cookies under its own privacy policy. Links to Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp take you to those services.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, then remove it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you. Attendance counts and statistics are kept as a ministry record.

How we protect it

Our leaders' pages require a login, access is limited by role, sign-in attempts are rate-limited, and the site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Please note that ordinary email and WhatsApp messages are not end-to-end secure in every case, so avoid sending very sensitive details unless you are comfortable doing so.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how we use it. Contact the church office (details above) and we will respond. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date above.
